Inherent Wealth Fund is a registered investment adviser in California. We manage money for families, founders and institutions in thematic, sector-specific strategies, inside a plan built to carry wealth from one generation to the next.
What we believe
Prosperity is not the number on a balance sheet. It is the security and the choices that number gives the people you love. Most of the industry sells a way to chase market returns. We think the job is different: to own the parts of the economy that will matter in ten years, and to hold them inside a structure that can take a bad year without changing the plan.
The economy is being rebuilt around a few large forces, among them artificial intelligence and the infrastructure behind it, and the open networks reshaping how money and assets move. A passive index holds all of it in yesterday’s weights. We would rather do the work: write down what is changing, decide how to express it, say in advance what would prove us wrong, and size it so that being wrong is survivable.
How we work
Every relationship starts with a conversation about what the money is for and who it must outlast. From that we write an investment policy: the allocation, the themes, the limits, the liquidity you need to keep, and the estate structure the portfolio sits inside. You approve it before anything moves. We then invest under a limited trading authority at Charles Schwab, an independent qualified custodian, in accounts that stay in your name, and we report against the policy every quarter. When your life or a thesis changes, the policy is the first thing we revisit.
Estate planning and risk management are part of the design, not a referral at the end. We coordinate with your attorney and your accountant, and when you do not have one we will tell you who we have worked well with, without being paid for the introduction.
Who we work with
- Families and individuals who want a portfolio built for more than one generation.
- Founders and executives with concentrated positions, equity compensation or a liquidity event ahead, who need the structure in place before the proceeds arrive.
- Institutions and foundations that want a thematic sleeve or a sector mandate reported against the policy their board set.
- Partners in professional firms, whose capital account, buyout and firm retirement plans need planning of their own. The Partner Wealth Review is built for them.
- Attorneys and accountants, as the professionals we plan alongside and who introduce their clients to us. How we work with referring professionals.
A mandate of integrity
We are a fiduciary. Putting your interests ahead of our own is a legal duty, and we treat it as the whole point of the firm rather than a line in a document. We earn trust by being transparent about what we hold and why, by saying plainly when we were wrong, and by holding to a standard of doing what is right in every trade and every conversation. Our Form ADV, which describes our services, fees and any conflicts of interest, is available on request and on file with regulators under CRD 313416.
Where we are
We work from San Francisco, and with clients across California and in the other states where we are registered or exempt from registration. The simplest way to start is a thirty-minute conversation, with no obligation on either side. Schedule one here, or call (415) 692-0863.
